Server-Side Tracking Service

I set up server-side Google Tag Manager on your own subdomain, so your tracking loses less data to ad blockers and browser limits, and you control what is shared.
Overview
What Is Server-Side Tracking?
In a normal setup, the visitor’s browser sends data directly to Google, Meta and other platforms. Ad blockers, Safari and Firefox restrictions and short cookie lifetimes mean a growing share of that data never arrives.
With server-side tracking, the browser sends one data stream to your own server first, usually a server-side GTM container on a subdomain like track.yourdomain.com. Your server then forwards clean, controlled data to each platform.
Options
Which Server-Side Setup Is Best for Your Business?
The right hosting depends on your traffic, budget and privacy needs. I help you choose and set it up.
Google Cloud
Cloud Run hosting from Google, with full control and automatic scaling for high traffic.
Stape
A managed host built for server GTM, quick to launch with useful power-ups.
AWS
For teams already on Amazon Web Services who want tracking in their own infrastructure.
Custom Server
Self-hosted setups for businesses with strict data or security requirements.
First-Party Subdomain
A custom tracking domain so cookies are set as first-party and last longer.
Consent Integration
Your consent banner connected to the server container so tracking respects user choices.
Why It Matters
Why Server-Side Tracking Is Essential for Modern Advertising
Browsers now limit third-party cookies and many client-side scripts. The result is underreported conversions, weaker audiences and ad platforms that cannot optimize properly.
Moving tracking to your own server gives you more complete data, longer-lasting first-party cookies, fewer scripts in the browser and a single place to control what personal data leaves your website.

How Server-Side Tracking Improves Performance and ROI
More complete conversion data gives ad platforms better signals, which helps bidding and audience building. Fewer scripts in the browser can also help page speed.
Because data passes through your own server first, you can remove sensitive fields, respect consent and keep a consistent setup across every platform.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
1. Is server-side tracking necessary?
Not for every site. It makes the most sense when you spend meaningfully on ads, run e-commerce or need more control over data.
2. Does it bypass ad blockers completely?
No setup can promise that. A first-party subdomain is blocked far less often than third-party tracking domains, so you usually recover a noticeable share of data.
3. Is Stape better than Google Cloud?
Both work well. Stape is simpler to manage and has handy features. Google Cloud offers more control. I recommend based on your traffic and team.
4. How much does hosting cost?
For small and medium sites the monthly hosting cost is usually modest and grows with traffic. I give you an estimate before setup.
5. Is it GDPR compliant?
Server-side tracking can support compliance because you control the data, but it still has to respect consent. I connect it with your consent banner.
6. Will I need to change my website?
Usually only small changes, such as DNS for the subdomain and pointing the web container to your server.
